Harris Hotel

The photograph (shown left) of the Harris hills was taken from the grounds of the Harris hotel called Ardhasaig House. Ardhasaig House is a 4 star Harris hotel which offers a first class service in the most spectacular of settings (hotel shown below right).

Found in the small village of Ardhasaig this popular hotel is just a few minutes drive from Tarbert, the main town on the Isle of Harris. Many visitors to the Outer Hebrides like to spend some time on the Isle of Lewis and Stornoway as well as some time on the Isle of Harris. Ardhasaig House is perfectly situated for a two destination vacation being within easy access of all of Harris while also being around three quarters of an hour's drive from Stornoway.

It is surprising that so many people travel to the Hebrides and do not bother to visit Harris. As well as having some very interesting historical sites Harris has some of the most spectacular beaches in the United Kingdom (found on South Harris). In the same respect some visitors to the Isle of Harris enjoy it so much that they spend little or no time on the Isle of Lewis thus missing out on an opportunity to visit such wonderful places as the Calanais Standing Stones.
